The Secret Service Claims to be "informed" of iCloud Hack Involving Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has an iCloud account, which may have been compromised. After some of its purported contents were posted to the online forum 4chan, the Secret Service declared Monday that it is "aware" of the potential hack.

The Secret Service and other federal law enforcement partners are aware of the social media posts and claims referencing Mr. Biden, Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. However, at this time, the Secret Service and other federal law enforcement partners are unable to comment publicly on potential investigative actions.

Some of that information first came to light in the months leading up to the 2020 election, when Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney for former President Donald Trump, claimed to have purchased Hunter Biden's laptop from a Delaware computer shop and given a copy of the hard drive to the New York Post. Giuliani's refusal to provide NBC News with a copy of the hard drive at the time prevented them from verifying the details and veracity of the emails and other documents.

This year, NBC News received a copy of the drive from a Giuliani agent. According to an investigation by NBC News into the hard drive, the iCloud account, and documents made available by two Senate committees, Hunter Biden and his business earned about $11 million from his work as an attorney.

In a statement from December 2020, Hunter Biden acknowledged that federal agents are looking into his "tax affairs." Although a representative for Biden claimed in May that he had settled all of his tax debts with the IRS, legal experts said that wouldn't necessarily shield him from future criminal prosecution.
