Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders Set to Ban Critical Race Theory and Children Attending Drag Shows in Arkansas
One month in and Sarah is taking action.
Barely a month in office, Sanders has already issued an executive order that would prohibit critical race theory in Arkansas schools. Another bans the term “Latinx” in official documents. As soon as this week, she could also sign a separate bill that would impose restrictions on children attending drag shows in the state.
The bill would require all attendees at drag shows to provide identification proving they are over the age of 18 to enter the facility where the show will be held.
Arkansas is among more than a dozen states where legislators have introduced initiatives or signed laws protecting the innocence of children and requiring drag shows to be accessible to adults only.
Of course, the left wing “activists” are saying these laws will harm the LBGT community and violate the rights of the transgender community.
Sanders has stated that she isn’t looking to take the rights away from adults to be transgender or gay, but she is looking to protect the innocence of children and not allow adults to sexualize them in any way.
The drag show proposal, first introduced on Jan. 9, is not about “banning anything” but about “protecting kids” from accessing “sexually explicit drag shows,” Alexa Henning, spokeswoman for the Arkansas governor, said in a statement to The Washington Post. “Only in the radical left’s woke dystopia is it not appropriate to protect kids,” Henning added.
