Hunter Biden's ex-wife Kathleen Buhle Says She Talked to Investigators About Hunter's Shady Business Dealings

Hunter Biden, the son of President Biden, made Kathleen Buhle feel incredibly loved in the early years of their marriage. She referred to him as "so mature, sophisticated, and charming." However, a drinking problem sent him to rehab about ten years later, and a relapse about seven years later would start the slow disintegration of their marriage.

Buhle, who separated from Hunter Biden in 2017, is now publishing a book titled "If We Break: A Memoir of Marriage, Addiction, and Healing" in which she shares her life story. The memoir describes her battle with her ex-husband's addiction and the affairs she claims caused their separation.

"It was a painful, painful time for our whole family," she told CBS News' Anthony Mason about Hunter Biden's battle with substance abuse.

The president's second son has made headlines in recent years as investigators look into his business dealings abroad. He's been open about his drug problems and told CBS News last year that he's cooperating with the federal probe.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Delaware opened an investigation into Hunter Biden's taxes and business dealings in 2018. A subpoena obtained by CBS News revealed requests for bank records dating back to 2014, when he and Buhle were still married.

As authorities look into his business dealings abroad, the second son of the president has made headlines recently. He has been candid about his drug use, and last year he told CBS News that he is helping the federal investigation.

In 2018, the Delaware U.S. Attorney's Office launched an investigation into Hunter Biden's financial transactions and taxes. In 2014, when he and Buhle were still married, requests for bank records were made, according to a subpoena obtained by CBS News.
